Early Life and Background
Cameron Lee Brink, born December 31, 2001, in Princeton, New Jersey, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She spent part of her childhood in Amsterdam due to her parents’ work with Nike, returning to the U.S. before sixth grade. Initially uninterested in basketball, Brink was more inclined toward art and volleyball. Her interest in basketball was sparked after attending a camp led by her godfather, Dell Curry. Her family moved to Oregon, where she joined a local basketball club and began to develop her skills.

High School Career
Brink attended Southridge High School and later Mountainside High School in Beaverton, Oregon. At Southridge, she led her team to two state championships and was named Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year twice. Her senior year at Mountainside saw her average 19.7 points and 13.2 rebounds per game despite a high ankle sprain that caused her to miss five games. Brink was selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic, though both events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she played volleyball, contributing to her team’s state championship win.
College Career
Brink played college basketball at Stanford University, where she made an immediate impact. As a freshman, she helped Stanford win the national championship and set a single-season record with 88 blocks. In her sophomore season, she was named Pac-12 Player of the Year and led her team to the Final Four. Her junior year saw her earn the WBCA Defensive Player of the Year award and become Stanford’s all-time leader in blocks. During her senior season, she was again named Pac-12 Player of the Year and led her team with impressive stats, including a career-high 29 points in a game against Duke.
Professional Career
Brink was selected as the second overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. She debuted on May 4, 2024, and had a strong start to her professional career, but her season was cut short due to a torn ACL sustained in June 2024.
National Team Career
Brink represented the U.S. at the 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup and the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, winning gold medals both times. She also played for the national 3×3 team at the 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Cup, where she was named MVP. She was initially selected for the U.S. 3×3 team for the 2024 Summer Olympics but was replaced due to her injury.
Personal Life and Off the Court
Brink is the daughter of Greg Brink and Michelle Bain-Brink and has an older brother named Cy. Her family is close to NBA player Stephen Curry’s family, with her mother being Sonya Curry’s former college roommate. Brink began dating Ben Felter, a member of Stanford’s rowing team, in 2021. She has been an advocate for mental health, sharing her struggles and receiving the CalHOPE Courage Award in 2022.
